THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Dé Máirt, 24ú Eanáir, 1950.

Tuesday, 24th January, 1950.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies Mrs. Crowley, Davern, Dockrell, Fitzpatrick, M. O’Sullivan and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1947-48 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of: National Gallery, Defence and Army Pensions.

4. Dr. G. J. Furlong (Director, National Gallery), Lieutenant-General P. MacMahon (Secretary, Department of Defence), Miss Máire Bhreathnach and Mr. P. M. Clarke (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 1.20 p.m. till Wednesday, 25th January, 1950.
