THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Wednesday, 7th December, 1949.

1. The Committee met at 10.30 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, J. J. Collins, Commons, Mrs. Crowley, Pattison and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1947-48 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of: Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Technical Instruction, Science and Art, Reformatory and Industrial Schools and Local Government.

4. Micheál Breathnach (Secretary, Department of Education), Mr. J. Garvin (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Miss Máire Bhreathnach, and Mr. M. Breathnach (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 12.50 p.m., till Tuesday, 24th of January, 1950.
