The following members were present: Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, J. J. Collins, S. Collins, Mrs. Crowley, Davern, Gilbride, Kitt, and Sheldon. 3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1948-49. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1948-49 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Charitable Donations and Bequests, External Affairs, Organisation for European Economic Co-operation, Office of the Minister for Justice and Garda Síochána. 4. Witnesses Examined. Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. S. Nunan (Secretary, Department of External Affairs), Mr. T. J. Coyne (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. M. Breathnach and Mr. P. M. Clarke (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 5. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 1.5 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, 30th November. |
