THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Déardaoin, 1ú Nollaig, 1949.

Thursday, 1st December, 1949.

1. The Committee met at 10.30 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Derrig (in the Chair), Deputies J. J. Collins, Mrs. Crowley, Fitzpatrick, Gilbride, Kitt, and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1947-48 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of: Dundrum Asylum, Public Record Office, Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting, Office of the Minister for Justice, Garda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Circuit Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice and Land Registry and Registry of Deeds.

4. Dr. W. J. Coyne (Dundrum Asylum), Mr. D. J. Coffey (Public Record Office), Leon Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. T. J. Coyne (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. C. S. Almond, and Mr. F. T. McHenry (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 12.45 p.m. till Wednesday, 7th December, 1949.
