IMEACHTA AN CHOISTETHE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Dé Céadaoin 9ú Meitheamh, 1948.Wednesday, 9th June, 1948.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputy MacEntee (in the Chair), Deputies Blaney, B. Brady, Briscoe, Coburn, Commons, Dockrell, Gilbride, Kitt, Pattison and Sheldon. 3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1946-47 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of: Public Works and Buildings, Haulbowline Dockyard, Valuation and Boundary Survey, Ordnance Survey, Stationery and Printing, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Dundrum Asylum, National Gallery, External Affairs and League of Nations. The following Account was considered and adjourned: Local Government and Public Health. 4. Mr. J. Connolly (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. C. C. McElligott (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. J. B. Whelehan (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Dr. G. W. Scroope (Dundrum Asylum), Dr. G. J. Furlong (Director, National Gallery), Mr. F. H. Boland (Secretary, Department of External Affairs), Mr. John Collins (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. P. Kennedy (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. D. J. O’Donovan (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare), Mr. C. S. Almond, Miss Máire Bhreathnach, Mr. J. Mooney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 5. The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. till Wednesday, 16th June, 1948. |
