1. The Joint Committee met at 4.30 p.m.

2. Present: Ceann Comhairle (Chairman); Minister for Agriculture, Minister for Local Government and Public Health. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (Deputy Childers); Deputies Bartley B. Brady, Cogan and McCann; and Senators Counihan, Duffy, Kingsmill Moore, O’Dea and Quirke.

3. The Joint Committee deliberated.
