PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Dé Céadaoin, 13 Bealtaine, 1936.

Wednesday, 13 May, 1936.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy MacEoin (in the Chair), Deputies Beegan, Coburn, T. Crowley, Goulding, Harris, Haslett, McMenamin, O Briain and Smith.

3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1934-35 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting, Secondary Education, Technical Instruction, Science and Art, Reformatory and Industrial Schools, and Office of the Minister for Education.

4. Mr. P. S. O’Hegarty (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. F. O’Duffy (Department of Education), Mr. S. Preston (Department of Education), Mr. W. F. Nally (Department of Finance), Mr. C. S. Almond and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. till Wednesday next.
