IMEACHTA AN CHÓ-CHOISTE.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE.

Dé Céadaoin, 22 Bealtaine, 1935.

Wednesday, 22 May, 1935.

1. The Joint Committee met at 2 p.m.


2. Present: Senator S. Fitzgerald (in the Chair); Deputies T. J. Murphy and Miss M. M. Pearse; Senators Miss K. Browne, Sir E. Coey Bigger and Mrs. K. Clarke. The Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach of the Seanad were also present ex officio.


3. A reply from Messrs. J. E. Mills, Ltd., was read and discussed. It raised questions relating to the year which will close an the 31st May, 1935. The Joint Committee decided that it had no power to deal with any matter save the future management of the concern.


4. The Joint Committee interviewed Mr. G. V. Lovell, and discussed with him the reply of his Firm and the details of the Draft Agreement. He undertook to forward the final decision of his Board before the next meeting, and then withdrew.


5. The Joint Committee discussed the possibility of introducing alterations into the Draft Agreement.


6. The Joint Committee adjourned at 2.45 p.m. until to-morrow.
