PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE.

Dé Céadaoin, 15 Bealtaine, 1935.

Wednesday, 15 May, 1935.

1. The Joint Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Present: Senator S. Fitzgerald (in the Chair); Deputies T. J. Murphy, R. Mulcahy and Miss M. M. Pearse; Senators Sir E. Coey Bigger, Miss K. Browne, Mrs. K. Clarke. The Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach of the Seanad were also present ex officio.


3. The Joint Committee examined accounts lodged by Messrs. J. E. Mills, Ltd., giving separate figures for the Dining Hall and Bar for various periods beginning with 1st April, 1933.


4. The Joint Committee interviewed Messrs. G. V. Lovell, Managing Director of Messrs. J. E. Mills, Ltd., and Mr. W. Corrigan, also representing that Company. Various queries arising on the accounts were raised by members of the Joint Committee, and replies were given by Messrs. Lovell and Corrigan.


5. The Joint Committee deliberated on the results of the interview above mentioned.


6. The Joint Committee adjourned at 12.45 p.m. till to-morrow (Thursday), at 2 p.m.
