IMEACHTA AN CHÓ-CHOISTE.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE.

Dé Céadaoin, 1 Bealtaine, 1935.

Wednesday, 1 May, 1935.

1. The Joint Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Senator Fitzgerald, in the Chair; Deputy Miss M. M. Pearse; Senators Sir E. Coey Bigger and Miss K. Browne; the Ceann Comhairle and the Cathaoirleach of the Seanad were also present ex officio.

3. The Joint Committee discussed the information furnished in accordance with the instructions given at the last meeting, and, in particular, the figures giving the financial results of trading for the various years since 1923. It was noted that the accounts forwarded by Messrs. J. E. Mills, Ltd., did not segregate the results for the Dining Hall from those of the Bar. It was agreed that they be asked to furnish, (1) separate figures for the two sides of the concern and (2) a statement showing the number of meals—lunches and teas—served during each month covered by the accounts.

4. The Joint Committee agreed, on the motion of the Chairman of the Seanad to invite Mr. G. V. Lovell, Managing Director of Messrs. J. E. Mills, Ltd., to attend the next meeting in order to discuss the management and prospects of the Restaurant.

5. It was decided to notify members of the Joint Committee that final decisions may be taken at the next meeting, and that a full attendance was desirable.

6. The next meeting was fixed for Wednesday, 15th May, at 11 a.m.

7. The Joint Committee adjourned at 11.50 a.m.
