IMEACHTA AN ROGHA-CHOISTE.PROCEEDINGS OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE.Dé Máirt, 16° Eanair, 1934.Tuesday, 16th January, 1934.1. The Select Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Senator M. F. O’Hanlon (in the Chair), and Senators Sir Edward Coey Bigger, J. C. Counihan, J. T. O’Farrell, William Quirke and Richard Wilson. 3. Mr. P. F. Dolan, M.R.C.V.S. (Chief Veterinary Inspector, Dublin Corporation), Mr. Samuel Byrne (President of the Dublin Victuallers’ Association) and Mr. H. O’Leary, M.R.C.V.S., were examined. 4. The Committee adjourned from 1.45 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. 5. Mr. Patrick Courtney (Chief Slaughterman, Messrs. McDonogh and Co.), Mr. W. Fogarty and Mr. J. C. Landy (Manager of the Irish Co-operative Meat, Ltd.) were examined. 6. The Committee decided to continue its deliberations in private. 7. A letter from Mr. Denis Barrett asking that his evidence be heard by the Committee was read. It was decided that Mr. Barrett be heard. 8. The Select Committee adjourned at 5 p.m. until 11 a.m. to-morrow. |
