1. The Joint Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Present: Deputy Morrissey (in the Chair); Deputies Beckett, Little, O’Higgins, Rice and J. T. Wolfe; Senators S. L. Brown, Farren, Hooper and O’Rourke.


3. Mr. T. G. Quirke, LL.D. (Solicitor, Dublin), was called and examined.


4. Business was suspended at 1.15 p.m. for one hour.


5. Business was resumed at 2.15 p.m.


6. Mr. L. J. Ryan (Solicitor, Thurles) and Mr. J. M. FitzGerald, K.C., were called and examined.


7. The Joint Committee deliberated.


8. The Joint Committee adjourned at 5 p.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, 14th January, 1930.
