Thursday, 19th December, 1929.

1. The Joint Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Present: Deputy Morrissey (in the Chair); Deputies Beckett, Little, Rice, Ruttledge and J. T. Wolfe; Senators S. L. Brown, Comyn, Dowdall, Farren, Hooper and O’Rourke.

3. The Joint Committee deliberated.

4. Business was suspended at 1 p.m. for two hours.

5. Business was resumed at 3 p.m.

6. Mr. P. Lynch, K.C. and Mr. A. K. Overend, K.C., were called and examined.

7. The Joint Committee adjourned at 6 p.m. until 11 a.m. to-morrow.
