Proceedings of Select Committee to consider the Statistics Bill, 1925.

1. The Committee met at 2.30 p.m.


2. Senators present.


The following Senators attended the sitting:—


John Bagwell, Samuel L. Brown, K.C., James G. Douglas, Sir Thomas Grattan Esmonde, Rt. Hon. Andrew Jameson, Sir John Keane and Sir Bryan Mahon.


The President was also in attendance.


3. Senator Douglas was moved to the Chair.


4. Statistics Bill, 1925.


The Committee agreed that, in view of the nature of the amendments tabled, they should first consider them in general in relation to their bearing on the Bill; and that the Bill should then be taken section by section, with the amendments in their order.


Debate ensued accordingly.


5. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 5.30 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, 19th February.
