1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present:—

The following members were present:—

Deputy G. Mitchell (in the Chair), Deputies M. Ahern, Allen, Connor, Cullimore, M. P. Kitt, McGahon, Rabbitte and Taylor.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1988.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1988 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Civil Service Commission, Defence, Army Pensions.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. B. Lannon (Secretary, Civil Service Commission), Mr. G. Scully (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. J. O’Farrell and Mr. N. McSweeney (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor General.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.55 p.m. until 11 a.m. 1st March, 1990.
