Dear Private Secretary,

I refer to your letter of 26th November, 1985 and to mine of 14th November in connection with correspondence from the Garda Representative Association about the riot on Spike Island on 1st September last.

The Committee will be considering a draft report at its next meeting on 22 January 1986. Accordingly, I would appreciate if you would let me have any comments which the Minister may wish to make on the correspondence from the Garda Representative Association before that date.
