1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies N. Andrews, Belton, Kenneally, C. Murphy and Woods.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1976

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the period 1 January 1976 to 31 December 1976 was resumed. The following Account was disposed of:—

Roinn na Gaeltachta.

4. Election of Temporary Chairman

Motion made (Deputy N. Andrews):

“That Deputy Belton take the Chair for the remainder of the meeting.”

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy Belton took the Chair accordingly.

5. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1976

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the period 1 January 1976 to 31 December 1976 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Public Works and Buildings, Stationery Office, Defence, Army Pensions.

6. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. L. Tóibín (Secretary, Department of the Gaeltacht), Mr. S. S. Mac Cárthaigh (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. J. F. Harman (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. M. P. Healy (Secretary, Department of Defence) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

7. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 1.10 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
