1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputies H. Gibbons, Governey, Griffin, Moore and C. Murphy.

3. Election of Temporary Chairman.

Motion made (Deputy Governey):

“That Deputy H. Gibbons take the Chair.”

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy H. Gibbons took the Chair accordingly.

4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1973-74.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1973-74 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Comptroller and Auditor General, Stationery Office, Health, Social Welfare.

5. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. M. Jacob (Secretary and Director of Audit), Mr. J. F. Harman (Controller, Stationery Office), Dr. B. Hensey (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. F. A. Hynes (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

6. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 11.50 a.m. sine die.
