1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Crotty, H. Gibbons, Governey, Griffin, Mac Sharry, Moore, C. Murphy, Pattison and Tunney.

The Committee deliberated.

4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1974

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the period 1 April 1974 to 31 December 1974 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Houses of the Oireachtas, Office of the Minister for the Public Service, Civil Service Commission, Superannuation and Retired Allowances, Remuneration, Increases in Pensions and Certain Improvements in Superannuation and Retired Allowances, Defence, Army Pensions.

5. Witnesses Examined

Mr. M. J. Healy (Clerk of the Dáil), Mr. S. Ó Conaill (Secretary, Department of the Public Service), Mr. P. Ó Murchú (Secretary, Department of Defence) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

6. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 12.45 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
