1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies H. Gibbons, Governey, Griffin and Toal.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1972-73.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1972-73 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— President’s Establishment, Office of the Minister for Finance, State Laboratory, Secret Service, Agricultural Grants, Miscellaneous Expenses, Increases in Pensions and Allowances.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. C. H. Murray (Secretary, Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.50 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
