COURTS: SAVINGS ON SUBHEAD A.

At the proceedings of the Committee on the 26th October in connection with the Appropriation Account of the Courts Vote, 1969-70, I undertook to supply information in regard to the breakdown of the figure for saving on Subhead A of that Vote as between replacements and the amount saved by not having as much additional assistance as was provided for.

The total saving on these two items amounted to £9,900 made up as follows:

1.	Replacement of Clerical Officers and Clerk Typists by Temporary	£
	Clerical Assistants	250.00
2.	Additional Assistance	9,650.00
		9,900.00
