PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 7.15 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies E. Collins, Dowling, FitzGerald, H. Gibbons and Treacy.

3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.

4. The Committee considered a reply* of 21 February, 1972 from Mr. C. H. Murray, Secretary, Department of Finance to the Committee’s letter* of 14 February, 1972.

Resolved: to approve form of further letter* to Mr. Murray.

5. Resolved: to approve draft reply† to Colonel Hefferon’s letter† of 11 November, 1971 relating to evidence taken in private.

6. Consideration of the form of a draft Final Report was resumed.

7. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 9.45 p.m. until 7 p.m. tomorrow.
