PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 5.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Barrett, R. Burke, FitzGerald, H. Gibbons, Keating, MacSharry, Nolan, Treacy and Tunney.

3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.

4. The Committee deliberated.

5. Ordered: that a reply be sent to Mr. H. Blaney’s letter* of 18 March, 1971, requiring him to attend on 20 April.

6. The Committee was informed of a decision by the Whips that Members should normally pair until the Committee has reported.

7. The Committee deliberated.

8. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 6.50 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 20 April, 1971.
