1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Barrett, R. Burke, E. Collins, H. Gibbons, Keating, MacSharry, Nolan, Treacy and Tunney.


3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. (2) was sworn and examined in private session.


5. Mr. (2) withdrew.


6. Ordered: that in the event of divisions being taken, arrangements be made as far as possible to ensure an opportunity for all members of the Committee to be present.


7. The Committee deliberated.


8. Sitting Suspended.


The sitting was suspended at 12.45 p.m. until 4 p.m. today.


9. The Committee met again at 4 p.m.


10. The Committee went into public session.


11. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. James J. Fitzpatrick, Secretary, Belfast Refugee Re-Establishment Committee was sworn and examined.


12. Mr. Fitzpatrick withdrew.


13. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 5 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday next.
