PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 11.15 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputies Barrett, E. Collins, Dowling, FitzGerald, MacSharry, Nolan, Treacy and Tunney.

3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendence in an advisory capacity.

4. Election of Temporary Chairman.

Motion made (Deputy Barrett):

“That in the unavoidable absence of the Chairman, Deputy Collins do take the Chair for this meeting.”

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy Collins took the Chair accordingly.

5. The Committee consulted with Mr. C. H. Murray, Secretary, Department of Finance (accompanied by Mr. A. J. Fagan).

6. Mr. Murray withdrew.

7. The Committee deliberated.

8. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. until 7.15 p.m. on Tuesday next.
