1. The Committee met at 4.15 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:


Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies R. Burke, E. Collins, FitzGerald, Keating, MacSharry, Nolan and Tunney.


3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.


4. Letter* of 14th instant from Mr. P. Devlin, M.P. declining to give evidence was noted.


5. Letters; of 10th and 11th June from Deputy Micheál Ó Móráin relating to his attendance today were noted.


6. Sitting Suspended.


The sitting was suspended at 5.15 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. today.


7. The Committee met again at 7.30 p.m.


8. The Committee went into public session.


9. Witnesses Examined.


Deputy Micheál Ó Móráin was sworn and examined.


10. Deputy Ó Móráin withdrew.


11. The Committee went into private session.


12. Ordered: that a letter be sent to the Minister for Justice requiring him to send files described by Deputy Ó Móráin in his evidence today.


13. The Committee went into public session.


14. Witnesses Examined.


Examination of Deputy Ó Móráin was resumed.


15. Deputy Ó Móráin withdrew.


16. Adjournment.
