GRANT TO CLONES MEAT PACKERS LTD.

At the proceedings of the Committee on 5 February, 1970, I was asked at what stage of the financial year ended 31 March, 1969, the grant paid to Clones Meat Packers Ltd. was committed from the Special Regional Development Fund. The grant was committed on 18 December, 1968 after consultation with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and An Foras Tionscal. The grant was designed to provide assistance for the firm in respect of establishment costs and its operations to December, 1968, and took account of the particular circumstances of Clones.
