At the proceedings of the Committee on 5 February, 1970, I was asked to what extent applications for assistance from the Special Regional Development Fund were refused. In the year ending 31 March, 1969, 51 applications were considered; of these, 30 were approved for either grant or loan assistance, 7 were refused and 14 were deferred for further consideration.
