RIGHT OF WAY BETWEEN NATIONAL GALLERY AND NATIONAL LIBRARY

At a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee on 19 February, 1970, at which I was present the Director of the National Gallery referred to the question of reopening a right-of-way between the Gallery and the National Library. I was asked to inform the Committee about the current position in this matter. The provision of a suitable passage-way between the National Gallery and the National Library has been approved by the Minister for Finance at an estimated cost of £7,000. The work will be done by the Office of Public Works as soon as resources permit.
