Mr. E. F. Suttle (An tArd-Reachtaire Cúntas agus Ciste) called.

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

1025. Deputy Andrews.—I propose that Deputy Hogan be the Chairman of the Committee. It is usual for an Opposition Member to take the Chair of the Public Accounts Committee. Deputy Hogan is a man of very great experience as was shown by his chairmanship of the last Public Accounts Committee. It gives me pleasure, therefore, to recommend this proposal to the Committee.

Question:—“That Deputy Hogan be Chairman of the Committee”—put and agreed to.

Election of Temporary Chairman

1026. Deputy Andrews.—As Deputy Hogan is unable to be here today, I propose that Deputy FitzGerald act as temporary chairman of the Committee for this meeting.

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy FitzGerald took the Chair accordingly.

The Committee deliberated.

The Committee adjourned.
