1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Cluskey, Crowley, Healy, Molloy, Reynolds and Treacy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1966-67.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1966-67 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Posts and Telegraphs, Stationery Office, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education and Secondary Education.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. Scannell (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. B. Ó Brolcháin (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. S. MacGearailt (Department of Education), Mr. J. Whelan, Mr. M. O’Reilly, Mr. P. S. Mac Guill and Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.55 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
