1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Patrick Byrne, Crowley, Healy, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) and Kenny.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1965-66.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1965-66 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Vocational Education, Reformatory and Industrial Schools, Universities and Colleges and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and Comptroller and Auditor General

4. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. T. Ó Raifeartaigh (Secretary, Department of Education), Mr. K. M. Fowler (Secretary and Director of Audit), Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.20 p.m.
