1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Briscoe, Burke, Crowley, Healy, Hogan (South Tipperary), Molloy and Treacy.


3. The Committee deliberated.


4. Report of Committee.


The Chairman brought forward a Draft Report for consideration.


(i) Paragraphs 1 to 8 inclusive agreed to.


(ii) Paragraph 9.


Amendment proposed (Deputy Hogan):


“To add at the end of the paragraph: ‘In this connection attention is drawn to the appended statement (Appendix XLV) where fees of £106,000 were paid up to 31st March, 1967, in respect of the reconstruction of St. Patrick’s Training College.’”


Amendment agreed to.


Paragraph, as amended, agreed to.


(iii) Paragraphs 10 to 14 inclusive agreed to.


(iv) Paragraph 15.


Amendment proposed (Deputy Molloy):


“To add at the end of the paragraph: ‘The Committee also wish to express concern at the too frequent occurrence of underestimation.’”

(v) Paragraphs 16 to 28 inclusive agreed to.


Draft Report, as amended, agreed to.
