1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Healy, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Kenny and Molloy.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1965-66.


Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1965-66 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—National Gallery, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Public Works and Buildings, Valuation and Ordnance Survey, Rates on Government Property and Employment and Emergency Schemes.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. H. J. Mundow (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. J. Mooney (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. M. Hawe (Employment and Emergency Schemes), Miss M. Breathnach and Mr. J. Whelan (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.


5. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 1.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
