The following members were present:— Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Patrick Byrne, Crowley, Healy, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Kenny, Molloy and Treacy. 3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1965-66. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1965-66 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Posts and Telegraphs, Defence, Army Pensions, Local Government and Stationery Office. 4. Witnesses Examined. Mr. L. Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. S. Ó Cearnaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. M. Lawless (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. B. Ó Brolcháin (Controller, Stationery, Office), Mr. J. Whelan, Mr. M. O’Reilly Mr. J. R. Whitty and Mr. T. Doyle (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined. 5. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 1.55 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next. |
