THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 3.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Senators Cole, Crowley, McDonald and Malone.

3. Election of Temporary Chairman.

Motion made (Senator Cole):

“That Senator Crowley be the temporary Chairman of the Committee.”

Question put, and agreed to.

Senator Crowley took the Chair accordingly.

4. Consideration of Memoranda.

Following consideration of the memorandum submitted by the Department of Finance in accordance with the Order of 13th July, 1966, it was:—

Ordered: That the Department be requested to depute a representative to appear before the Committee as a witness for the purpose of explaining the following instrument:—

Central Bank of Ireland. Amending Superannuation Scheme, 1966.
