THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

Thursday 16th June, 1966

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Flor Crowley, Healy, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Kenny and Molloy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1964-65.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1964-65 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Transport and Power, Defence, Army Pensions, Stationery Office, Health and Central Mental Hospital.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. T. J. Beere (Secretary, Department of Transport and Power), Mr. S. Ó Cearnaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. B. Ó Brolcháin (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. P. S. Ó Muireadhaigh (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. C. J. Byrnes, Mr. J. R. Whitty and Miss Máire Bhreathnach (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.15 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
