IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Dé Máirt 5 Iúil, 1966.Tuesday 5th July, 1966.1. The Committee met at 2 p.m. 2. Members Present. The following members were present:— Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Patrick Byrne, Flor Crowley, Healy, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) Kenny and Molloy. 3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1964-65. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1964-65 was resumed. The following Account was begun:— Agriculture. 4. Election of Temporary Chairman. Motion made (Deputy Healy): “That Deputy Hogan be the Chairman of the Committee until the return of the Chairman.” Question put, and agreed to. Deputy Hogan took the Chair accordingly. 5. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1964-65. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1964-65 was resumed. Deputy Jones resumed the Chair. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Agriculture, Office of the Minister for Justice, Garda Síochána, Prisons, Courts of Justice, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds, Lands, Forestry, Fisheries and Comptroller and Auditor General. 6. Witnesses Examined. Mr. J. C. Nagle (Secretary, Department of Agriculture), Mr. P. Berry (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. T. O’Brien (Secretary, Department of Lands), Mr. K. M. Fowler (Secretary and Director of Audit), Mr. P. S. MacGuill (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined. 7. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 4.35 p.m. |
