During my examination before the Committee of Public Accounts on 14th May, 1964, I was asked to supply a note regarding the nature of the injury sustained by an officer on the staff of the Central Statistics Office in respect of the loss of whose service £476 was received.

I understand that the officer concerned suffered from coronary thrombosis arising from a motoring accident.
