1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Patrick J. Burke, Clinton, Nicholas Egan, Kenny, Lalor and Treacy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1961-62.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1961-62 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Valuation and Ordnance Survey, Rates on Government Property, Office of the Minister for Justice, Garda Síochána, Prisons, Courts of Justice and Land Registry and Registry of Deeds.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. S. Réamonn (Chairman, Revenue Commissioners), Mr. J. Mooney (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. P. Berry, (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. P. S. Mac Guill and Mr. M. Ó Murchadha (Department of Finance) and the Secretary and Director of Audit were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
