VOTE FOR POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS: DAMAGE TO IMMOBILE PROPERTY.

At the proceedings of the Committee on the 21st March, 1963, I undertook to furnish additional details of a case of damage to immobile property, resulting in a loss of £13, which is mentioned in Note 2 to this Department’s Appropriation Account for 1961/62.

This case concerned a street posting box (in Dublin) which was damaged in the course of a collision between two motor vehicles. The driver of the vehicle held in court proceedings to be at fault could not be traced and he did not have insurance cover.
