PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

Dé Céadaoin, 24 Bealtaine, 1961.

Wednesday, 24th May, 1961.

1. The Committee met at 4.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputies Booth, Briscoe, Seán Browne, John A. Costello, Donegan, Seán Flanagan, Gibbons, Noel T. Lemass, Lindsay, McGilligan, O’Donnell and Wycherley.

3. Election of Chairman.

Motion made (Deputy McGilligan):

“That Deputy Seán Flanagan be Chairman of the Committee.”

Question put, and agreed to.

4. Election of Temporary Chairman.

The Committee having been informed of the unavoidable absence of the Chairman,

Motion made (Deputy Briscoe):

“That pending the arrival of the Chairman, Deputy McGilligan be Chairman of the meeting.”

Question put, and agreed to.

Deputy McGilligan took the Chair accordingly.

5. Consideration of Bill.

The Committee took the Bill into consideration.

Deputy Seán Flanagan took the Chair.

The Committee resumed consideration of the Bill.

6. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 5.20 p.m. until 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday next.
