THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Seán Browne, Carty, Moloney, O’Toole and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1959-60.

Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1959-60 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Transport and Power, Local Government and Roinn na Gaeltachta.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Miss T. J. Beere (Secretary, Department of Transport and Power), Mr. J. Garvin (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. S. Ó Braonáin (Rúnaí, Roinn na Gaeltachta), Miss M. A. Keily and Mr. J. F. MacInerney (Department of Finance) and the Secretary and Director of Audit were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 11.50 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
