PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE

1. The Joint Committee met at 4.30 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Healy (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Breen, Cosgrave, Jones, Kitt, Loughman, McQuillan, Moloney, Norton, O’Sullivan, Russell and Sweetman, Senators Cole, L’Estrange, Murphy, Ó Maoláin and Ryan.


3. Representations from Outside Bodies.


It was decided that the County Registrar’s Association and the Irish Rate Collectors’ Association should be asked to submit, for the consideration of the Joint Committee, a memorandum setting out the changes they would like to see made in the electoral law.


4. The Joint Committee deliberated.


5. Adjournment.


The Joint Committee adjourned at 6.10 p.m.
