THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, S. Browne, Carty, Haughey, Jones and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1957-58.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1957-58 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Charitable Donations and Bequests, Dundrum Asylum, Health, Office of Public Works and Public Works and Buildings.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Dr. W. J. Coyne (Governor, Dundrum Asylum), Mr. P. Ó Cinnéide (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. Geo. P. Fagan (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Miss M. Bhreathnach and Mr. P. S. Mac Guill (Department of Finance), the Comptroller and Auditor General, and the Secretary and Director of Audit were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.25 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
