IMEACHTA AN BHUAN-CHOMH-CHOISTE.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE STANDING JOINT COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 3.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:

The Minister for Agriculture, Deputies S. Flanagan, Haughey and O’Donnell, Senators Lenihan, O’Quigley and Ryan.

3. Election of Chairman.

Deputy O’Donnell moved:

“That Deputy S. Flanagan be Chairman of the Committee.”

Question put, and agreed to.

Deputy S. Flanagan took the Chair accordingly.

4. Destructive Insects and Pests (Consolidation) Bill, 1957.

The Committee took the Bill into consideration.

(i) Sections 1 and 2 agreed to.

(ii) Section 3 postponed.

(iii) Sections 4 to 9 inclusive agreed to.

(iv) Section 10.

Question proposed:—“That the section stand part of the Bill.”

Debate ensued.

Further consideration of the Bill adjourned.
