1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, J. Brennan, Carty and Haughey.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1955-56.


Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1955-56 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Dundrum Asylum, Stationery Office, Industry and Commerce, Transport and Marine Services, Aviation and Meteorological Services, Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office and Tourism.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Dr. W. J. Coyne (Governor, Dundrum Asylum), Mr. T. J. Malone (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. J. C. B. MacCarthy (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Miss M. Bhreathnach, Mr. P. S. Mac Guill, Mr. J. F. MacInerney and Mr. L. V. O’Neill (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.


5. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 12.25 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday next.
