1. The Committee met at 10.30 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:


Deputy Carter (in the Chair), Deputies A. Barry, Bartley, J. Brennan, H. P. Dockrell, T. Lynch and Sheldon.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1953-54.


Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1953-54 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Industry and Commerce, Transport and Marine Services, Aviation and Meteorological Services, Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office and Tourism.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. J. C. B. McCarthy (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Miss M. Bhreathnach, Mr. M. Breathnach and Mr. J. F. MacInerney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.


5. Adjournment.
