APPENDIX V.

Customs-free Airport (Extension of Laws) Regulations, 1955 (S.I. No. 181 of 1955).

Memorandum from Department of Industry and Commerce.

1. The Customs-free Airport (Extension of Laws) Regulations, 1955 (S.I. No. 181 of 1955) were signed by the Minister for Industry and Commerce on 29th August, 1955. The Regulations were sent to the Department of Finance on 2nd September, 1955, to have the signature of the Minister for Finance entered thereon.

2. The Regulations were signed by the Minister for Finance on 9th September, 1955. They were returned by post to the Department of Industry and Commerce on Saturday, 17th September, 1955, being received there on the 20th idem. The delay which occurred in the Department of Finance subsequent to counter-signature of the Regulations was due to an oversight for which that Department expresses regret.

3. On 22nd September, 1955, copies of the Regulations were sent by hand to Cléireach na Dála and Cléireach an tSeanaid to be laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas.
