With reference to your minute of the 8th November regarding the Dublin District Milk Board (Election Day, 1955) Order, 1955, I am directed by the Minister for Agriculture to express regret that owing to temporary staff shortage it was not found possible to present the Order to the Seanad until ten days after it was made. As indicated in this Department’s minute of 18th October in regard to another Order, special steps have now been taken to ensure that Orders are presented promptly to the Seanad and the Department accordingly trusts that the Select Committee will have no future cause for similar complaint.
